This large, gothic building that originally started out as the home of the
Chicago Historical Society, was purchased and transformed into a posh
nightclub by the infamous nightlife entrepreneur, Peter Gatien. This would
soon become Limelight one of the most famous and trend-setting nightclubs
of its era, and Chicago¹s first mega-club. This venue has served hundreds
of thousands of patrons since the 1980¹s, and while the name of the venue
has changed since then, the establishment has defiantly withstood the test
of time. Vision is also listed as one of the most haunted venues in
Illinois, has been featured in the movie ³White Noise² along with features
on A&E and the History Channel.
